And it's a big happy birthday to Chris Mayes!
This is one lead guitarist proving tricky to track down. I've been trying to deliver a birthday present (which contains a tiny microphone and camera so I can surveil him at home) all morning. Sheesh!
Well now I'm back from my holidays (somewhere far warmer than England... okay it was a cave, I'm acclimatising my eyes to the dark, it's better for snooping) I can share four snaps I took of Captain and Bean in none other than the pub in Richmond, West London, where The Rolling Stones started out.
Adrian Parsons sends a visual and verbal update from the Bean and Captain tour of English pubs:

Just when I was about to lament the lack of reports, I get THIS:
Spotted: James Casey talking to Pete Townshend of The Who in the Arcola Theatre in Stoke Newington after a performance of ASH last night. Townshend was in black, Casey was wearing jeans, a cream jacket and a Rolling Stones t-shirt. Beat that!
Rumours of something next Tuesday... if you're free and in London, get in touch.
Four snaps here from last weekend's London International Music Show - the whole band (this may be a first for Spy In The City)!
Thanks to Finlay Ballack, Nic Firth and Jo Satch.

Spotted on Sunday afternoon by Jenny Pemms: Alastair Dean (and drinking partner) back in The Richmond in West London. This time wearing a green hat...
Bit of a mad James spot this time, from two sources, so thank you James Evans and Siobhan Glover (who took six photos, she says, not daring to use flash in any of them in case she annoyed anyone, therefore rendering said photos far too dark to make anyone out) - in a bar in central London after a recording for a Radio 4 show, chatting to the likes of comedians Frank Skinner and David Mitchell, British radio legend Nicholas Parsons, and David 'and Hutch' Soul!
Three! Three glorious photos of James Casey, taken last Friday in Chichester Marina by Stephanie Tyler. No message with the e-mail (but thanks for the snaps, Stephanie), so no further details than the shots and the e-mail subject line to go by, but presumably James wasn't just moonlighting as a yacht repairman...
Couple of snaps here from Glen Toran who was in a pub called The Richmond in Hammersmith and spotted no less than Alastair Dean and Chris Culleton putting the world to rights in a corner! Glen says he didn't dare get any closer so had no idea what they were talking about though he thinks he heard them mentioning playing the trombone at one point...!
